Northlane Announce New Member Brendon Padjasek, Following Departure Of Founding Bassist

Sydney metalcore outfit Northlane have announced the arrival of their new bassist and backing vocalist, Brendon Padjasek, following the departure of the group’s founding bassist Alex Milovic last month.

In a statement to fans, the band described Padjasek as one of their “oldest and dearest friends”.

“We met Brendon the very first time Northlane travelled to Canada in 2012,” they said.

“Since then we toured Canada, the USA and Australia together and forged some of our fondest memories from the road. He is a supremely talented musician and was the guitarist and then frontman for one of our favourite acts, STRUCTURES. His technical prowess extends to his work as a studio producer and session musician.”

In a statement of his own, Padjasek said:

“I am very happy to announce that I’ve officially joined Northlane as their new bassist. From the first time I met these guys we instantly clicked. I remember thinking how crazy it was that these people from the opposite side of the world were exactly like me.

“I’ve always been a fan of their music through the evolution of the band and I couldn’t be any happier to share the stage and studio with them.”

When Alex Milovic departed Northlane in September, he said he had “mixed emotions” about stepping away from the band.

“There have been a number of contributing factors over the past year that have led me to make this decision and although it wasn’t an easy decision to make, I feel this is the best thing for me,” he said.

Northlane are due to perform at Good Things Festival in December.

The band released their latest single ‘Vultures’ in July, after dropping their latest album Mesmer in 2017.
