Motörhead have brought new meaning to their name, following the launch of a new vibrator range.
Perhaps in a bid to re-stimulate fans feeling less-than-satisfied after their recent tour date cancellations and Australian social media fuck-up, Lemmy & co have been spending their time working on a powerful new genre of, ahem, metal.
“One of the songs on our debut album was called Vibrator, so we had to have our own one day, right?” Lemmy said in a press release (via Consequence Of Sound). “Apparently, it was worth the wait!”
The joint venture with sex toy producers Lovehoney has yielded a range of both bullet and classic torpedo-shaped vibrating options for the dedicated Motörhead fan wanting to take his or her love of the band to its logical conclusion.
Dubbed ‘The Official Pleasure Collection’, the line has been designed and named after the band’s 1979 album, Overkill and 1980’s Ace of Spades.
We’re assuming Orgasmatron, Motörizer, Overnight Sensation, Aftershock and Hammered will launch later, perhaps in time for Christmas.
Lovehoney touts the toys as “the loudest buzz in the world”, promising to deliver “the sort of power and pleasure you’d expect from the ‘loudest band on Earth’.”
“We designed these classic vibes for both fans of Motörhead and rock lovers, as well as those who just want a cool looking toy to add to their collection,” Lovehoney’s Co-founder, Neal Slateford, said in a statement.
“The range captures the rock and roll lifestyle of the band perfectly, and offers a unique counterpoint to the traditionally pink and purple toys that currently dominate the market.”
No word on whether Iron Fist is in the works, but we’ll keep you posted.
