Ocean Alley’s new album Lonely Diamond is out this week. If you’re a fan, you may recall it was announced back in April alongside a single titled ‘Hot Chicken’.
Now, the psych-rock outfit have shared their own take on iso-cooking tutorials, with a new video that sees the band’s Lachlan Galbraith cook up a storm in the kitchen. As you might have guessed, the dish of the day is indeed hot chicken, and given the reaction from the band after chowing down, it’s a bloody spicy concoction thanks to a generous mixture of paprika and hot sauce.
Lonely Diamond is the third album the Northern Beaches crew have cooked up, following 2018’s ‘Confidence’-featuring Chiaroscuro.
“It’s pushing forward into the unknown,” guitarist Mitch Galbraith said of the album in a press statement upon its announcement. “Taking a journey to a different place or a different time that seems familiar or that you’ve been before and all the emotions and feels that come with that.”
Last month, the band launched their five-part ‘Constructing the Diamond’ series, taking fans behind the scenes into the upcoming album’s writing and recording process.
