Ocean Grove Band Member Tests Positive For Coronavirus

Ocean Grove have revealed that a member of their band has tested positive for coronavirus. The band announced the news in a statement today.

“After feeling what was interpreted as a common headache, he began experiencing symptoms of the virus on Monday 16th and was tested the following morning,” reads the statement. “Results have come back today, and our brother is currently in good spirits while being treated.” The statement did not reveal which band member is affected.

The band urged any fans that attended meet and greet sessions in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane last weekend to “take into consideration the Australian Government’s advice to self-quarantine for two weeks to prevent the spread of the virus.”

“In the event you begin experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19, please seek medical attention,” the statement reads. “Even if you are not experiencing any symptoms and/or did not attend one of the meet & greets, please consider practicing self-distancing and practice good hygiene to stop the virus from spreading.”

“We are so incredibly grateful for the overwhelming amount of support we have received in the weeks leading up to the release of our album and most of all this release week has been truly remarkable. It saddens us that those showing their direct support in attending a signing event should be affected in anyway.”
