Aussie Hip Hop Crew One Day Announce First-Ever WAVY Music Festival

Sydney hip hop collective One Day have announced the launch of their very own music festival, WAVY, which will hit the Perth area this November.

Best known for their One Day Sundays block parties, the One Day crew are now taking to Fremantle’s Port Beach with their own beachside festival featuring a bunch of hip hop, rap and soul acts (and DJs).

Joining One Day act Horrorshow at the top of the lineup are the likes of Sydney native Manu Crooks and

Fremantle’s very own jazz, hip hop and psych-funk six-piece Superego (FKA Pow! Negro).

There’s also Melbourne 19-year-old Kaiit and a stack of DJs to go along with the “gourmet street food, market stalls, boutique bars and all the usual One Day Sundays trimmings” organisers have planned.

“Seeing One Day Sundays flourish in Perth has been a beautiful thing,” says One Day Sundays director and festival organiser, Nick Lupi.

“At its core, One Day parties are community-driven, made by music lovers for music lovers. WAVY is the next and most exciting chapter in our story – we hope you love it.”
