P.Diddy has cancelled his performance just 4 days before the festival was due to kick off in Brisbane. Organisers have removed his name from all the artwork on the website and are not answering phone calls to their office. Music Feeds have also contacted the PR company, however, they too are failing to return calls.
Update 2:15pm: Missy Elliot Cancellation Confirmed.
Update 1:19pm: The PR company has confirmed P.Diddy has cancelled; an official statement will be released shortly.
Update 12:30pm: We have been in contact with the PR company who have said they have no information to give us at the moment.
So far there is no word on whether the organisers are going to attempt to avoid refunding tickets; more info as it comes in.
This isn’t the first time the promoters have used shady tactics in 2012. When they made their third announcement on Facebook, they failed to mention that Ludicrous wouldn’t be playing in Melbourne and Perth, it was only displayed with some fine print on the bottom of their website.
