Peach Pit have announced their second-ever headlining tour of Australia, taking place less than 18 months after their first. The Canadian indie-pop band will play four theatre shows across the country from late February into early March 2025. Those dates, as well as ticketing info, can be found below.
The upcoming Australian tour is in support of the band’s recently-announced fourth studio album, Magpie. The band shared the album’s title track to coincide with its announcement, which can be streamed below.
So named after the native Australian bird, lead singer Neil Smith revealed the band found the unlikely inspiration while on a day off in Melbourne on their previous tour. “I was struck by how magpies are seen as both good and bad omens,” he said. “The album reflects those highs and lows, from heartbreak to new love.”
