Pearl Jam Slow Down In New Song ‘Sirens’

Grunge legends Pearl Jam are back in a big way and they’re showing no signs of slowing down… unless you’re talking about the tempo of their brand-new track Sirens, with Eddie Vedder and company getting their ballad on with single number two from their forthcoming album Lightning Bolt.

It’s a nice change of pace for the Seattle 5-piece, following their heavy punk rock-tinged first single Mind Your Manners. Sirens is a delightfully emotive 6-minute love song – but this is Pearl Jam, guys, so you already know it comes with a large serving of melancholy. They’ve also unveiled the accompanying Danny Clinch-directed video for the track, a beautifully shot taster of the outfit playing live under some pretty spectacular lighting.

Lightning Bolt is slated for Australian release on Friday, 11th October, with the Even Flow hit makers having already revealed the album artwork and tracklist. Pearl Jam will be heading Down Under in January 2014 to headline the Big Day Out, where they’ll be driving the fans wild with a special 2-hour set.
