Inglewood California rapper Pigeon John has just released his latest album Dragon Slayer, an ear snappingly catchy hip hop offering tailor made for summer. Having been brought into the Quannum fold by Lyrics Born, Lyrics being enamored by PJ’s lyrical skill and flow, Dragon Slayer is PJ’s second release on Quannum Projects, and the first to be released here in Australia on Other Tongues.
Having come up rapping at open mic nights with the likes of then unknown’s Jurassic 5 and The Pharcyde, Pigeon John is one of the most eclectic and interesting voices in hip hop today and Dragon Slayer is well worth a listen for any hip hop fan interested in what’s beyond the mainstream world of bling, bitches and crisss.
