Porter Robinson & Madeon To End Collaboration After ‘Shelter’ Tour

Porter Robinson and Madeon have confirmed what many may have feared — as soon as they’ve finished their Shelter world tour they’ll bring an end their time as a duo.

The collaboration between US producer Robinson and his French m8 seems like a match made in electronic music heaven, and after some incredible US shows this year they’ll bring their tour down under in February 2017, which looks like it’ll be the final time we’ll see them perform together.

In an interview with SiriuxXM‘s Tommy West, the guys have sadly revealed that the project is only temporary, and that they may never work together again.

“I think what makes it special is that we’re gonna go back to our solo projects,” says Madeon. “We know that this is a transient moment and we are taking it all in and enjoying it immensely, but we know that once this is it, it’s it.”

“From the start, we wanted everyone to appreciate this whole experience as something that was temporary, once-in-a-lifetime,” says Robinson. “We want the whole thing to feel like a blink. One single song, one single tour, and then it’s over.”

Porter also spoke about the key aspects of their Shelter tour, and how he and Madeon really wanted to “distinguish this (tour) from an EDM show”.

“We’ve played clubs in our lives, but when we’re up there we’re singing, playing instruments and playing our own music,” he says.
