Pre-Work Raves Are Here To Replace Your Morning Workout

UK-based company Morning Gloryville have announced that they will be bringing their famous early-morning dance parties over to Australia. The company’s monthly parties go from 6:30am to 10:30am, with a view to providing an alternative to the humdrum of the routine morning workout.

As HyperVocal reports, the morning dance parties, which not only offer an alternative to pre-work gym grinds, but also a healthy and drug and sleep-deprivation-free substitute for real nightclubbing, began in in Shoreditch in London, operating under the quaint tagline, “rave your way into the day.”

The raves, which in lieu of ecstasy and Bacardi offer massages, a juice bar, yoga, Pilates, and “a banging dance floor,” quickly became popular, with offshoots launching in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Brighton, Dublin, Brooklyn, Paris, San Francisco, Tokyo, Zurich, and later this month, Sydney.

According to the Morning Gloryville Sydney official Facebook page, Australia will receive its first “holistic rave” on Wednesday, 23rd July at Paddington’s Uniting Church in Sydney, with entry priced at $18 – $30. “From 6:30am ravers will be treated to a rave wonderland where pumping tunes, yoga, massage, fresh smoothies and healthy food replace the usual dreary pre-work routine,” they write.

“With the sounds of some of Sydney’s best DJs filling the air across a broad and uplifting music policy, Morning Gloryville will unite Sydney dance lovers in a sober love-fest as they rave their way into the day,” they add. “The only rules are sobriety, authenticity and fun on a completely new level.”
