PREMIERE: 44th Sunset – ‘The Hills’ Video

Perth alt indie five piece 44th Sunset first arrived upon our airwaves via 2012’s summer hit Caesar, from debut EP Boa Constrictor Hat. Now they’re delivering twice the pleasure in the form of a double A side single, The Hills and Stories, Not Sorry. For your viewing pleasure, we’re premiering the track The Hills and its video right here on Music Feeds.

Both tracks on the double A side were written and produced by the band’s 19-year-old lead singer Nik Thompson, and come to us via the band’s new label littleBIGMAN records. “At the beginning of 2014 we finally threw off the man (major label contract) and over several months of liberation we went through a process of rediscovery and reformation,” explains Thompson.

While the talented Thompson has been busy mixing tracks by the likes of Melbourne folk rock duo Georgia Fair and Jae Laffer, and performing the occasional solo gig, 44th Sunset are currently recording their debut album.

44th Sunset will tour nationally as a full band in early 2015 but in the meantime, Nik Thompson will take his solo show to Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in November in support of Georgia Fair. See those dates below.
