Brissie indie-rocksters Last Dinosaurs’ return to the music scene is easily the most exciting dinosaur-related event of the year (take THAT Chris Pratt!) and Music Feeds is happier than a Velociraptor on heat to be premiering the brand new video for latest single Evie.
Evie sees the boys once again on form with the twinkling, frenetic guitar lines and insuppressible hooks that they so masterfully and effortlessly produce on show and the brand new video is also A-grade Last Dino fare.
Directed by bass player Michael Sloane, who was also at the helm of clips for Time & Place, Zoom and Andy, the Evie video delves into the world between asleep and awake with the protagonist following a series of ring-shaped clues as he searches for the girl of his (literal) dreams.
“I wanted to capture some of the feeling you get after waking up from a vivid dream, and how the memory of that dream can stay with you and seem almost like a memory,” says Sloane of the concept. “Cinematographer Danny Camara and I shot with an old broken lens for the dream scenes, literally holding the lens in front of the sensor to achieve the tilt-shift effect.”
Check out the new vid right here and make sure to head out and see the lads as they hit up Splendour in the Grass this year and head off on their own tour as well. Deets below!
