Kanye West’s recent announcement that he will contest the 2020 US Presidential election is the gift that keeps on giving, with IRL President Barack Obama dishing out some solid advice to the rap king, at a Democratic fundraising event in San Francisco overnight.
With his Yeeziness in attendance to perform a set for the Democratic National Committee fundraiser, Obama used the opportunity to throw some out some sage advice to Kanye, who, as we all remember/ have gotten tattooed on our bodies forever (just me?), announced his plan to run for President in 2020, at the MTV VMAs last month.
Opening with a couple of zingers, Obama’s first piece of advice “you got to spend a lot of time dealing with some strange characters who behave like they’re on a reality TV show,” which is funny because Kardashians.
He then moved on with, “second important tip: Saying that you have a beautiful dark twisted fantasy? That’s what’s known as off-message in politics. You can’t say something like that. A lot of people have lost their congressional seats say things like that,” which is funny because album title.
Before dropping the mic with “And number three: Do you really think that this country is going to elect a black guy from the South Side of Chicago with a funny name to be president? That’s cray.”, which is funny because that’s literally Obama as well lolololol.
Sure the “jokes” may not have yours truly rolling in the aisles but let’s not forget that the leader of the “free world” referenced a supposed nonsensical, probably-not-going-to-happen Presidential campaign from the world’s biggest musician. Kind of a big deal.
Just imagine our PM Malco Turnster, dropping some sick burns on Flume, cause that’s almost, what that’s like. I guess.
