Prince Launches New Website

Prince fans are currently giddy with excitement after the star surprised us with not only a snazzy looking website, but a track that was previously unheard in its entirety. The site also reveals that Prince still has some tricks up his sleeve.

Three videos can be viewed on the site, though six other boxes read ‘Stay tuned’, suggesting a bevy of new offerings. Apart from the new track, Screwdriver , one video is the trailer for a ‘Montreux’ film, which more than likely means Prince will be releasing the highly coveted footage from his performance at Montreux Jazz Festival in 2009.

According to Music News, fans have been begging for the video from that release for a number of years now.

News of the website broke via celebrity blogger Dr. Funkenberry, who dropped the bomb by simply posting ‘Shhh’ along with a link to a site that had never been seen before. Prior to that, Funkenberry confirmed that Prince would be on the cover of Billboard Magazine this week. This comes after it was declared that Prince would be receiving the Billboard Icon Award this year.

The first and final video is a clip from Andy Allo‘s new album, Superconductor, which Prince produced.

Even the website URL is worth mentioning www.20pr1nc3.com. Pure Prince style.
