Quavo No-Shows Australian Tour, Watches Tyson-Paul Fight Instead

Quavo has seemingly no-showed his Australian tour dates as main support for The Kid LAROI‘s homecoming national tour alongside Onefour. The former Migos member was scheduled to begin his run on The First Time tour on Thursday (November 14th) at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre and follow it up with LAROI’s hometown show at Parramatta’s CommBank Stadium last night. However, the American rapper did not appear at either show – leaving LAROI’s DJ, TJ Mizell, to play an extended set in his absence and Onefour going on stage over an hour after they were scheduled.

Neither Quavo nor LAROI have publicly addressed the absence from the tour; they have both, however, posted about their collaborative single ‘Slow It Down’, which was released on Friday. The day Quavo was supposed to be performing in Brisbane, he instead posted photos with American country star and American Idol judge Luke Bryan, teasing a collaboration between the two. The day that he was supposed to be performing in Sydney, Quavo instead posted an Instagram story of him watching the boxing match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, which can be viewed below.

Quavo’s absence from the tour is particularly confusing given that LAROI postponed the tour specifically so he could be on it. The shows, as previously reported by Music Feeds, were originally supposed to take place in February 2024. Last December, however, LAROI indefinitely postponed the run, ultimately rescheduling the tour back in August to take place in November 2024.

“We tried to make February work, but it’s proving to be logistically impossible,” LAROI wrote at the time.“I have a really big surprise and special guest that we just couldn’t finalise in time for February, among a bunch of other logistical stuff. I wanna give you the best show that I possibly can and make everyone back home proud. I promise that it will be worth it.”

The First Time tour continues with LAROI, Onefour and Mizell on Wednesday, November 20th at the RAC Arena in Perth. It then heads to Adelaide, then Hobart (sans Onefour), and wraps with two nights at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena. All remaining tickets are on sale now via Ticketek.
