The Kid LAROI Shares New Single ‘Girls’

The Kid LAROI has shared a new single, entitled ‘Girls’. It marks the Sydney-born singer’s third new song of 2024, following on from ‘Heaven’ in January and ‘Still Yours’ from March – the latter of which was featured in his Prime Video documentary, Kids Are Growing Up: A Story About A Kid Named LAROI.

LAROI wrote the song with Jon Bellion, an American singer-songwriter who has worked with the likes of the Jonas Brothers, Halsey and LAROI’s ‘Stay’ duet partner Justin Bieber. The ‘All Time Low’ singer also served as one of the track’s co-producers, alongside longtime Drake and Travis Scott producer Rogét Chahayed.

Chahayed, for his part, shared a post on his Instagram page upon the song’s release. “Thank you, LAROI, for letting us into your world and allowing us to create something we all truly love,” he wrote. “Had the most fun creating this with the fam.”

The song’s accompanying music video was directed by Bradley J. Calder, who has previously made clips for artists such as SZA and Justin Timberlake. LAROI stars in the video alongside TikTok star Alix Earle. Press materials note that Calder’s vison for the clip “nods to MTV’s bombastic video heyday as the two tap into the late nineties and early 00s.”

The Kid LAROI is currently touring through North America on his The First Time world tour. It was meant to go through Australia and New Zealand back in February, with ONEFOUR as support, but the tour was postponed indefinitely due to production issues. Rescheduled dates for the Australasian leg of the world tour are still yet to be announced at the time of writing.
