The nation’s biggest ’90s and noughties party, RNB Fridays has announced its 2019 return, touring through Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide Brisbane and Sydney this November.
While the events will return to the same venues in each state as the 2018 series, organisers (via previous headliner Fatman Scoop) say they have addressed major issues from the 2018 Melbourne event after punters slammed organisers over a myriad of problems. 2018 Melbourne concert-goers’ list of complaints included long waits for food, drinks and toilets, poor sound quality, and alleged venue safety issues.
“After reviewing patrons’ feedback from the Melbourne event of RNB Fridays Live 2018, our team has worked tirelessly to ensure the experience for everyone nationally in 2019 is further enhanced from entry until the last mic drops,” say organisers in a statement.
“Addressing Melbourne specifically, the stage location for RNB Fridays Live 2019 has been moved – improving multiple features of the event and creating a greater overall customer experience.” Organisers say the 2019 event will feature improved acoustics, more facilities and increased access to amenities including toilets, bars, food outlets and additional mobile free water stations.
Fatman Scoop is confirmed to make his RNB Friday return for the fourth year in a row and, in a personal video address, ensured Melbourne party goers specifically that it is his duty “as the president of party” to “ensure all parties are of the highest standard.”
“I got you.”
