Rodriguez And The Break Australian Tour 2013 – Bluesfest Sideshows

Making the trip Down Under for his second stint at our iconic Bluesfest, Rodriguez will be in the finest form yet when he returns once again for Bluesfest next year.

With a career decades upon decades strong, Sixto Rodriguez has been an ever-present force in music for more than 40 years. It was only recently, however, that Rodriguez got the mainstream attention he so very much deserved after the award-winning doco Searching for Sugar Man, which explores in some depth the phenomenon that is Rodriguez.

Also included in this sideshow will be supergroup The Break, comprised of members from Midnight Oil, Violent Femmes and Hunters & Collectors. The surf rock outfit is expecting a new album in the coming months, following up from their previous (and debut) release Church of the Open Sky.

Plenty more sideshows are coming in the wake of the Bluesfest announcement, which is yet to be finalised, with new additions coming on Monday. Click here for the full lineup.
