Royal Chant: Frozen, Filthy, & Filmed….

Royal Chant, the garage band that doesn’t know when to quit, is keeping the fuzzbox ball rolling out there from the wilds of NSW. After happily freezing their collective Tingling Naughty Parts off at this year’s inaugural Blueprint Festival under the crisp Victorian Spring nights (read: FREEZING), they huddled back into their Tarago and trekked back to the warmer surrounds of Albert Studios to splatter some sonic face paint with producer Wayne Connolly and come out with two 2 new singles, both which are set to appear on their upcoming Right On/Write Off EP.

Curious punters can catch a glimpse of the new sounds when the boys take the stage at the Annandale Hotel as part of the all day Filth Fest happening on Saturday, October 10th. Royal Chant are appearing near the end of the evening, amongst a line-up that includes Calling All Cars, The Protectors, Red Ink, and many, many more.

And finally, for those who have NO idea who or what we are talking about, they can get a cinematic sampling by viewing the newely released debut video for “Somedays”. A joint collaboration between Triple-J Unearthed and NIDA, the song was given visual life under director Netta Yashchin.
