RZA has now claimed that Russell Crowe did “spit at” Azealia Banks when she was evicted from a party in Los Angeles last year, despite the Wu-Tang Clan rapper previously defending his “buddy” Crowe after Banks claimed the actor violently ejected her from the event.
In a new radio interview with Charlamagne tha God on ‘The Breakfast Club’, RZA says Crowe actually did “spit at” Banks, as The Root points out.
“Did Russell put hands on her, like she said? Did he spit on her?” Charlamagne asked, to which RZA replied, “Look, he spit at her,” and suggested that the spit wad wasn’t aimed directly at her.
“Did you check him at that point? That’s a white dude spitting on a black woman,” Charlamagne replied, before RZA said Crowe did apologise to him.
Banks has reportedly responded to RZA’s latest claim on Snapchat with a few harsh words, which you can view below alongside RZA’s interview with Charlamagne tha God.
“RZA has to stop talking about me in the media,” she reportedly wrote.
“Until he is ready to apologize to me publicly he can go back to sucking Russell Crowe’s dick for invites to Hollywood parties… Nobody understands how badly I wanted to die the moment RZA lied and told the world I deserved to be spat.
“No one understands the amount of pain that came with and after that incident… RZA I hope you drop dead.”
Following the incident which saw Banks evicted from Crowe’s party in October, Banks claimed the actor had spat on her and called her the n-word after flirting with her and touching her leg. Banks later called Crowe “a racist, misogynist pig”, before Crowe escaped charges over the alleged assault.
