UPDATE: Splendour In The Grass 2018 Lineup Announced
Shannon Noll has revealed he will make his Splendour In The Grass debut this July, off the back of his latest album Unbroken.
Speaking exclusively with Music Feeds, Nollsie said he’s ready to bring some “fair-dinkumness” to this year’s Splendour festivities.
“I’m really happy to be the first-ever Australian Idol finalist to perform at Splendour, and I’ve got a whole bunch of new songs I can’t wait to share with the punters,” he said.
When Music Feeds reminded Nollsie that Guy Sebastian had already performed at Splendour In The Grass, he shed a single tear and said, “Second again.”
Reacting to news of Nollsie’s long-awaited Splendour debut, one fan remarked, “I bet that’s not the only taste of Splendour you’ve had in the grass, ay Nollsie?
“Nah, just pitching ya tipi forest cob. Anyway, while I’ve got ya, do ya reckon you could return me tomato sauce bottle bong from last year’s Splendour mate?
“Woollies ran out of stock on Masterfoods so I’ve been punching cannies ever since and the misso keeps getting up me arse about it in case Dunies are back on the lineup this year. ‘Scott Green’, ay shagger! Alright mate, I’ll leave ya to it. Hooroo!”
The only other act to have confirmed their place on this year’s Splendour lineup are UK indie rockers The Wombats, who said they are “definitely” playing the festival. Read up on six big-name acts we think will perform at Splendour this year in the gallery below.
Meanwhile, Nollsie is also scheduled to tour the country in support of his new album in May, before Splendour In The Grass returns to Byron Bay in July.
Stay tuned to Music Feeds for the full Splendour lineup as soon as it drops.

Acts Who Will Probably Play Splendour In The Grass 2018 (And Why)
-
The Wombats
Why? Because they said so. They're the only group to publicly state they are "definitely" performing at Splendour this year. -
Franz Ferdinand
Why? They recently told Music Feeds they "have plans to come back over" to Australia "soon", and given they've just released their latest album Always Ascending, a Splendour appearance makes a lot of sense. -
MGMT
Why? They recently said they will be "setting foot on Australian soil this year", and they're also playing Japan's Fuji Rock Festival, which often shares a number of acts with Splendour. Chances are high, it seems. -
Superorganism
Why? They recently told Music Feeds they will "definitely" be touring Australia this year "for a whole bunch of shows". They're also playing Fuji Rock Festival, and have enough space in their schedule for a Splendour set. -
Kendrick Lamar
Why? Kendrick is also playing Fuji Rock Festival, and given his success in the latest triple j Hottest 100 (and the fact he last performed in Australia in 2016), we think he could well be a headline act at Splendour 2018. -
Arctic Monkeys
Why? They've got a suspicious Splendour-sized hole in their tour schedule, new music on the way and would be an A+ score for Splendour. It's still just rumour, but it's a big one.
