Is Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan Leaving Slipknot?

Could Slipknot‘s ranks be about to shrink from nine to eight?

The Masked Ones’ custom percussionist Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan has sparked fears he might be leaving the band after revealing that their next album “could be it for me” in a new interview with The Jasta Show.

“So we’ve been writing and this music is coming out… I feel weird things are coming but it’s always like that for the guys like us, we get involved in our records and sky all of the sudden changes,” he explains (via Metal Injection).

“And we got some stuff man. I feel like this could be it for me. We’re all getting older. I never like telling anyone like, ‘Hey this is it!’ Because I don’t have to, fuck everyone.

“But like I’ve said, I’ve been reflecting and there’s a lot of hard things that I could say about friends, brothers…” he continues. “We’re good, but it’s a big world. I’ve done enough work, I’ve produced and done remixes and art and performed, I’ve done enough where while I was in it none of it was registered.”

Sort-of vague comments, but maggots are still freaking that Clown might be hanging up his mask for good:

It comes after Clown recently revealed that the ‘Knot have seven or eight songs written for their new album.

Hopefully it doesn’t end up being his last!
