Slaves Are Breaking Up

US rock band Slaves have announced that they’re time as a group has come to an end.

After two studio albums and just over two years in existence, the band have decided to call it quits, the news coming less than two weeks after guitarist Alex Lyman announced his departure from the band via Twitter.

There was very little fanfare to this announcement, with the band doing little more than posting a short Facebook status letting fans know that their upcoming show in Santa Cruz would be their last.

Tonight in Sacramento and tomorrow in Santa Cruz are the last Slaves shows EVER. Come send the band off with us. Posted by Slaves on Saturday, 9 April 2016
It hadn't exactly been a smooth ride for the band over the last year or so, with Slaves having been kicked off Vans Warped Tour in July 2015, and as a result being forced to sell a whole bunch of their merchandise at discounted prices just to make back their expenses from the tour. Those who know frontman Jonny Craig won't be surprised that just minutes after the announcement he tweeted that he will make a special announcement later this week, most likely of what's next for him musically. https://twitter.com/jonnycraig4L/status/718938384949846016 Watch: Slaves - My Soul Is Empty And Full Of White Girls https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCQPNUUw96c&nohtml5=False
