Some Of Your Fave Musicians Were In That Huge Game Of Thrones Episode

Foals and Chris Stapleton have added their names to the long list of high profile musos who’ve made cameos in the cultural juggernaut that is HBO’s Game Of Thrones.

You most likely didn’t catch it (because the episode was dark AF) but Stapleton, as well as Foals drummer and guitarist Jack Bevan and Jimmy Smith, all featured as extra’s in this week’s record-shattering blockbuster episode, ‘The Long Night’.

Stapleton portrayed a wildling-turned-wight (dead guy) in the epic battle between the living and the dead at Winterfell.

Confirming his acting debut to Rolling Stone, the singer explained: “[The directors] knew we weren’t actors. So the direction was basically, we’re going to place you, and when we tell you to, open your eyes. And they trained us on how White Walkers are supposed to stand up and move when they’re first waking up. We had a crash course in that.”

Meanwhile, the Foals lads also played meat puppets in the Night King’s army.

“Last February our manager managed to get a lovely crew of us all into the Battle of Winterfell,” Bevan posted on Instagram. “Sadly, I don’t think we survived the night. It really was one of the coolest experiences I’ve had. Cheers to the best show of all time!”

Bevan has also offered to “buy a Dairy Milk” for anyone who can find a freeze-frame of him in the episode.

Some other famous musos on GOT‘s past cameo roster include Ed Sheeran, the drummer from Coldplay and Mastodon.
