The final round of Soulfest sideshows have been announced, lead by rapper Yasiin Bey, better known as Mos Def, hip hop legend Common and smooth singer-songwriter Maxwell both of whom are set to hit Australia next month for the inaugural Soulfest.
First up, Mos Def will play a solo headline show at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Monday, 20th October. Two days later he’ll then take the stage with Grammy winning hip hop artist, producer and actor Common for a massive double headline show at Perth’s Metro City.
Maxwell will be taking his smooth neo-soul stylings to Sydney audiences for a special solo sideshow at the Enmore Theatre on Tuesday, October 21st. He’ll have the support of fellow Soulfest artist Leela James.
“Australia’s first ever neo-soul, jazz and hip-hop festival”, Soulfest, will kick off on Saturday, 18th October at Sydney’s Victoria Park, before hitting up Yarra Park in Melbourne on Sunday, 19th October, concluding at The Riverstage in Brisbane on Saturday, 25th October.
The bill also features D’Angelo, Aloe Blacc, Angie Stone, plus local acts including Ngaiire, Miracle, and Ms Murphy. See the full lineup, dates and ticket information here. Sideshow details are below.
