Soulfest Melbourne Gets Venue Upgrade

The Melbourne leg of Soulfest is moving to bigger digs, with organisers announcing that due to an overwhelming demand, the Sunday, 19th October event will move from Melbourne’s Yarra Park to the larger Sidney Myer Music Bowl at the Kings Domain Gardens.

The upgraded venue will now accommodate for 15,000 Soulfest fans. All dates and times remain the same and all existing GA/VIP tickets and side of stage experience passes are still valid for the new venue.

Australia’s own neo-soul, jazz and hop hop festival will soon be bringing some of the biggest names in the genre to our shores, with the likes of D’Angelo, Common, Aloe Blacc, Mos Def, Maxwell, Angie Stone, and Leela James named on the star-studded bill.

Limited tickets remain and the festival is expected to sell out. The event will also feature market stalls and quality cuisine, including “authentic New Orleans soulfood, a chilli cook-off, and themed bars.”

Soulfest kicks off Saturday, 18th October at Sydney’s Victoria Park, before hitting up Kings Domain Gardens in Melbourne on Sunday, 19th October, concluding at The Riverstage in Brisbane on Saturday, 25th October. Tickets are priced at $139 for General Admission and $179 for VIP.
