UPDATE: The Splendour In The Grass 2015 lineup is here!
It’s crunch time guys, we’re mere hours away from knowing definitively who is on the Splendour In The Grass 2015 lineup, due to drop into our hands at 8am tomorrow morning.
While it’s likely that many of the headliners for this year’s festival have already leaked, that’s just a small snapshot of the entire lineup for the three-day Byron Bay event.
To get you up to speed, acts who featured on last week’s Splendour 2015 lineup leak were Florence + The Machine, Blur, Mark Ronson, Tame Impala, The Wombats, Death Cab For Cutie, Of Monsters and Men plus The Dandy Warhols and Royal Blood – most of whom were hotly tipped to be playing the 2015 festival.
It’s worth keeping in mind, if this leak turns out to be accurate, then it’s unlikely that other rumoured acts Lana Del Rey, Royksopp + Robyn, Jack White and potentially even Frank Ocean will also feature on the Splendour bill, given that the headline spots have already been covered.
Another couple of acts seemed too eager to get down here for the winter festival and kind of blurted about their place on the lineup earlier than scheduled. Artists who came pretty close to “self confirming” their Splendour appearance were UK indie rockers The Wombats, Danish singer songwriter MØ, and UK muso Rosie Lowe.
We’re liking the chances of former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr appearing on the Splendour lineup too. After cancelling an earlier Australian tour this year, Marr has rescheduled his headline tour with new dates that fall right around Splendour.
Japan’s Fuji Rock lineup and the Splendour lineup usually share some names, and a few acts on Fuji’s bill could potentially jet on over to Oz this July. Such acts include The Bohicas, Catfish and The Bottlemen, FKA twigs, The Vaccines, Kitty, Daisy & Lewis and Ryan Adams.
Splendour also coincides with a couple of other international festivals, which also gives us a hint at who most likely won’t make it here for Splendour. Canada’s WayHome Festival, which runs on the same weekend as Splendour, had already nabbed acts like Sam Smith, Kendrick Lamar, Modest Mouse, St Vincent, The Decemberists, Passion Pit, Hozier, Fucked Up, Girl Talk, Run the Jewels and Vance Joy, from Splendour’s grasp.
Acts like Laura Marling, Courtney Barnett, Angus & Julia Stone, Kasabian, The Drums, Billy Bragg, Ghostpoet and St Vincent are also all booked on other European or US festival bills at the same time.

3 day Event Ticket – $365 + booking fees.
Single Day Tickets (Friday, Saturday or Sunday) – $155 + booking fees.
Camping Ticket – $120 + booking fees.
Note: A 2.1% transaction fee applies to all orders.
*You have the option to offset your carbon emissions for $3 per ticket.
Onsite camping is available for up to 5 nights – with early entry into the campgrounds available from Wednesday 22 July. You will need to purchase a vehicle pass for the day you want to arrive available 1 June.
Please note: Splendour In The Grass has already been granted a capacity increase for 2015. There will not be a second release of tickets.
VEHICLE PASSES
To manage traffic and create a greener event, we will again be implementing a vehicle pass system that will encourage carpooling, please see our website for more detailed information.
TRANSPORT
Shuttle services will run between surrounding locations including Byron Bay, Brunswick Heads and North Byron Parklands.
