Splendour In the Grass 2016 Tickets Are Sold Out, Ticket Resale Waitlist Is Now Open

UPDATE: Splendour In The Grass 2017 has now sold out, but ticket resale details have also been announced.

ORIGINAL STORY: The 2016 edition of Splendour in the Grass is sold out after being sale for only a few hours.

Tickets went on sale at 9am this morning, and already all available categories – three day, single day and camping tickets – have been snapped up.

The Strokes, The Cure, Flume, The Avalanches, Hermitude, Violent Soho, James Blake, Sigur Ros, Matt Corby and At the Drive-In are just some of the big names on a rather impressive and lengthy list of acts that will grace the festival this year.

What’s more, the appearances by The Strokes, The Avalanches, Sigur Ros and James Vincent McMorrow will be exclusive to Splendour, with no sideshows planned.

If your ticket grip is empty-handed, there’s still a ray of hope for you. As they have done previously, Splendour will host a resale of tickets belonging to punters who decided they can’t or won’t attend – giving those who still would like a ticket a second chance. The resale facility will be available through Moshtix from 9:00am AEST Monday 30th May. You can join the resale waitlist here.

According to Moshtix, the resale is the only way to secure a legitimate ticket to Splendour, al they cannot be direct transferred from another individual. Here’s the process:

Those intending to offer their unwanted event and/or camping tickets for SALE may do so from 9am AEST Friday 27 May 2016. This Resale Facility will allow you to offer your tickets for sale through moshtix, giving you the opportunity to get your money back (minus $20 resale fee & minus original booking & transaction fees).

Those wanting to BUY a ticket have the opportunity to do so, subject to availability, from 9am AEST Monday 30 May 2016 at www.moshtix.com.au. Tickets offered for resale will be made available at the regular, advertised price. We are unable to predict how many tickets will be returned, or when tickets may be available during the resale period.

For those who can’t make the trip to Byron this year, stay tuned as the first batch of Splendour sideshows are expected to drop tomorrow!

If you were lucky enough to get tickets here’s what you need to know.
