St Kilda Festival is gearing up for its 44th iteration, delivering a taste of its 2025 lineup. The annual two-day celebration of Australian music will return on the weekend of February 15th – 16th, showcasing over 100 artists across multiple stages.
The first three to be revealed on the 2025 lineup are Midnight Oil legend Peter Garrett and his band The Alter Egos, local pop titans Cub Sport and singer-songwriter Jem Cassar-Daley.

“We’re proud to be bringing back the St Kilda Festival once more, now in its 44th year,” City of Port Phillip Mayor, Louise Crawford said in a press statement. “This two-day celebration of Australian live music will showcase everything from the biggest names in Australian music to family-friendly activities and entertainment for the whole community.
She continued: Set against the stunning backdrop of St Kilda’s foreshore, and amongst all the excitement of Fitzroy and Acland Streets, St Kilda Festival will be the place to be this February.”
As per tradition, the event showcase a lineup of First Peoples’ talent on Saturday, followed by the Big Festival Sunday.
St Kilda Festival is Australia’s largest free music event, attracting more than 350,000
festivalgoers and regularly injecting millions into the local economy.
The full lineup for the 2025 St Kilda Festival will be announced on Wednesday, 18th January.
