Steven Tyler talks new Aerosmith album

Resolutely damaging what little reputation he had left (mainly from siring mega-babe Liv Tyler) by signing on as an America Idol judge, Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has come and said he want to release a new Aerosmith album. There’s only one problem – he can’t find guitarist Joe Perry.

“We’re having trouble getting Joe,” Tyler told Rolling Stone. “I don’t know where he is, but just come down to L.A. at the end of January sometime. I’ve had enough downtime.”

With Perry and Tyler having aborted attempts to record a follow up to 2001’s Just Push Play a few years ago, Tyler explaining that Perry was “just going through his thing,” one might be inclined to think the reason why Tyler can’t find him is he doesn’t want to be found. Considering the singer’s frightening Skeletor meets Angelina Jolie appearance you can hardly blame him.

Anyway as always with Aerosmith expect plenty of media bullshit (bullshit we here at Music feeds are happy to roll in) around this before anything concrete is announced.
