Stevie Nicks Reveals About Deadly Infection And Recent Hospitalization That Led To Tour Shows Cancellation

Stevie Nicks, the 76-year-old music icon, recently shared the details of a frightening health scare that led her to postpone two tour dates. Nicks was scheduled to perform in Glasgow on July 6 and Manchester on July 9 as part of her Live in Concert Tour. However, these shows had to be postponed after she was suddenly hospitalized with an unknown illness.

The Fleetwood Mac star finally returned to the stage in Glasgow on July 24 and reassured fans about her recovery. During her performance, Nicks explained her ordeal, saying, “I don’t know what happened. I just got this weird infection, and it just went crazy.”

Nicks recounted how she realized the severity of her condition late at night. “I finally just looked at my assistant, it was like two in the morning, and said, ‘I think we need to go to emergency.’ She looked at me and I just said, ‘I’m not kidding! I think we need to go to the hospital.’”

She described how their butler quickly drove them to the hospital in his BMW Sedan, highlighting the urgency of the situation.

The concerts on July 6 and July 9 were initially canceled due to a “leg injury requiring a minor surgical procedure.” A social media statement at the time mentioned that Nicks needed a few days of recovery, leading to the postponement of these performances.

Nicks’ Live in Concert Tour is set to wrap up in Pennsylvania this September. Fans are relieved to see her back on stage and are looking forward to the remaining shows of her tour.
