SVALBARD Announces 2024 Australian Tour

British band SVALBARD is gearing up for their first-ever Australian tour this May, marking a significant milestone for the four-piece group. The band will be in support of their latest album The Weight of The Mask, which was released October 6, 2023.

The latest album delves into deep themes like strength, depression, love, and vulnerability while mixing elements of black metal, post-rock, and d-beat hardcore. Their diverse musical style has also earned them the opportunity to tour with renowned bands like Enslaved and Cult of Luna.

Joining SVALBARD on this tour is Melbourne’s own RUN, a group known for their intense live performances and described as “blackened post-metalcore”. Fresh from a successful tour with The Amity Affliction, and with new music on the horizon, RUN is set to deliver a dynamic performance on the tour that complements SVALBARD’s sound.

Together, these two bands are set to light up stages across Australia, promising fans an unforgettable experience filled with energy and passion. As this is the band’s first-ever Australian tour the audience is eager to witness this exciting collaboration of SVALBARD and RUN to make their mark on the Australian music scene.
