Sydney Festival Unveils Massive 2020 Program

Sydney Festival is returning in 2020, and it has just unveiled its absolutely colossal and inspired program that sees events taking place throughout January.

Amongst the program include some exciting performances by artists from Australia and abroad. Archie Roach, Orville Peck, Regurgitator and more will all be performing as part of the festival.

The festival will also play host to a tribute to the legend himself, Gurrumul Yanupingu. The tribute show, titled Buŋgul, will celebrated the late icon’s critically acclaimed final album Djarimirri (Child Of The Rainbow).

“Sydney Festival brings to our city the newest works from the world’s most adventurous artists,” said Sydney Festival director Wesley Enoch in a statement.

“We unearth the interesting, the new and the exciting. Wherever there is a debate to be had, a diversity of opinion or the need to speak the neglected story, Sydney Festival is there. We are proudly diverse. We are equal parts cultural ambition and celebration.”
