Teen Pleads Guilty To Assault After Kicking Good Life Festival Security Guard In The Head

An 18-year-old from Perth has pleaded guilty to assaulting a security guard with a kick to the head at this year’s Good Life Festival.

ABC News reports Martin Fulton has also admitted to trespassing after fence jumping to gain access to the event back in February.

Footage emerged earlier this year of Fulton walking up to security guard Michael Rigby, who was busy detaining another punter, and booting him in the head. The security guard is seen struggling on the ground before attempting to get up. Organisers at the time said that he was discharged from hospital “a few hours later”.

Organisers were also quick to condemn the stupid behaviour, reaffirming that “The safety of Good Life attendees and staff is our highest priority.”

Fulton was granted conditional bail and will appear again for sentencing next month. Rigby was apparently present in the courtroom but made no comment.
