UK psychedelic up-and-comers Temples have announced their first Australian tour, which will kick off at The Zoo in Brisbane this May, before travelling down the East Coast for shows in Sydney and Melbourne. The band will be joined by fellow indie-psych outfit and Sydney locals Deep Sea Arcade.
Temples — singer/guitarist James Edward Bagshaw, bassist Tom Warmsley, drummer Sam Toms, and keyboardist Adam Smith — hail from Kettering, Northamptonshire and garnered praise from UK indie icons Johnny Marr and Noel Gallagher for their debut single, Shelter Song.
They will follow-up the release with their debut studio effort, Sun Structures, a triple j Feature Album, which has already garnered praise for the band’s ability to combine new technology and instrumentation with vintage aesthetics and ideals, creating the band’s own neo-psychedelic palette.
