Like Jay-Z and Beyonce before them, Sydney pop chameleons The Griswolds and Aussie hip hip producer Chance Waters have found unlikely love, proving that they really are the jam and Vegemite of the music world – and what better way to celebrate than to hit the road together?!
The two acts have been shacked up in the recording studio, making a track for Chance’s upcoming album that they’ll unveil for the first time on the More Than Just Friends tour, which is gonna kick off on 19th September in Melbourne. The two outfits will then take the show to Sydney, before wrapping things up in Brisbane on 4th October.
It’s been a huge year for Chance Waters, who’s signed a deal with Island Records and found his tracks Young And Dumb and Maybe Tomorrow in the triple j Hottest 100 back in January. It hasn’t been too shabby a time for The Griswolds either, with a hugely successful first tour of the UK and Europe, as well a US release for their debut EP Heart Of A Lion this September. Together, we’ve been told to expect the kind of magic that happens when Bon Iver meets Kanye West.
Tickets for the tour are available from all the usual outlets.
