The Snowdroppers Announce ‘Moving Out’ Tour, September 2013

Sydney’s favourite purveyors of sleazy, swampy goodness The Snowdroppers have announced they will be hitting the road in support of their brand-new single So Much Better. Kicking off in September, the Moving Out tour could very well be your last chance to check out the band live before they once again succumb to studio hibernation.

So Much Better was lifted from the group’s latest studio effort Moving Out Of Eden and will be the final track off the album to be pampered with the full single service. The tune focuses on how learning to love comes hand in hand with learning to hurt. As the band put it, the track is “a dancy little ditty about how much easier it is to twist a knife into someone when they’re someone you love”, and it’s all held together with a tasty bassline.

The Snowdroppers will be joined for the majority of the tour by ne’er-do-wells Gay Paris as well as – once again in their own words – “a pantload of other like-minded bands” so this will be a run of shows you won’t want to miss out on. As previously warned, there is a very high chance that the band will be ending the album cycle at the climax of this tour to get crackin’ on a follow up release. Can you go that long with out your hit of The Snowdroppers? I doubt it.

Tickets on sale Tuesday, 23rd July.
