Albert Hammond Jr. is currently touring the country, including a set at Splendour In The Grass this past weekend, and he’s stopped by the ‘Tonightly’ set to recite classic Alf Stewart lines from Home & Away. This isn’t a joke.
He sat down with host Tom Ballard to discuss Splendour, STIs and his latest album Francis Trouble before Ballard gave him some Alf Stewart lines to read, but not before dressing him in a flanno and fedora.
Without giving too much away, let’s just say Hammond Jr.’s acting skills are surprisingly pretty decent.
Hammond Jr. is kicking off his Splendour sideshows tonight in Sydney, before taking on Melbourne tomorrow night. He caused a bit of controversy around the festival earlier this year, when he posted a lineup poster that included SZA and Johnny Marr, despite neither act playing the festival.
