The Strokes’ Albert Hammond Jr. Announces Splendour In The Grass 2018 Sideshows

Albert Hammond Jr., the almighty lead guitarist for The Strokes, has just announced some headline shows for this July while he’s in Australia for Splendour In The Grass.

Hammond Jr. will be in the country for a brief run of shows in Sydney and Melbourne, off the back of his latest album Francis Trouble, which saw him discuss the deeply personal topic of his stillborn twin brother Francis, whose existence he only learned about two years ago.

Joining him for both shows is Sydney duo CLEWS, who you’ve been hearing all over triple j recently with their explosive pop choruses melted with their endearing folk-style harmonies. Catch all the show dates and ticket details, below.

The last time Hammond Jr. was in the country was back in 2016, where he was one of the first ever international acts to play Mountain Sounds Festival.

He also caused a little bit of controversy around this year’s Splendour In The Grass, when he announced he was playing by releasing a lineup poster which also featured SZA and Johnny Marr — two acts who are not playing the festival at all.
