The Terrys And Nooky Team Up On Stomping New Collab, ‘Ghost Of Bendigo’

Gerringong indie-rock favourites The Terrys have returned with their first slice of new music since the release of their acclaimed 2024 sophomore record Skate Pop, a collaboration with proud Yuin & Thunghutti man and rapper Nooky dubbed ‘Ghost of Bendigo’.

Led by menacing bass lines and an eerie whistling refrain, the reggae-leaning track comes packing a riotous music video directed by Sam Brumby (King StingrayJulia Jacklin) and shot at Parramatta Correctional Centre in Maroubra NSW, starring The Terrys’ Finchie and Nooky as bank robbers-turned-cellmates who enact a daring prison escape.

“We’ve been threatening to make music with Nooky for years, and it wasn’t until a dark and stormy night a few weeks back that the Gerringong council workers and the mayor of Nowra finally came together to make it happen,” The Terrys explained in a press statement.

“It was agreed that the session was to start at 11am, but Nooky ended up pulling through at 1am the next day…” they continued. “Between storms, road closures and parental duties, it felt like the session was destined to fail; however, 29 instant coffees and two hours in a Bowral located Airbnb was all that was needed for this beast of a track to come alive. Produced by the one and only Tasker, the tasker, alongside liquid friends F-POS.”
