If you’ve finally grown tired of pulling out that Michael Bublé album every Christmas then there is a worthy replacement this year thanks to a choir of goats who have released a record of Christmas classics.
The Swedish branch of international charity ActionAid has launched an album titled All I Want For Christmas Is A Goat of eight classic Christmas tunes literally sung by goats. There’s Joy To The World, all made up by the squeal and groans of some of the world’s finest goat talent.
It’s completely ridiculous but for a good cause, raising awareness of the importance of goats for families in areas of poverty. They’re not just good singers but they’re also good at providing milk and surviving in areas too dry to grow crops.
“It’s about more than goats – it’s about empowering people living in poverty to claim their rights and lead their own change,” says ActionAid’s Holly Miller.
The album is now available to download for free via Spotify and YouTube. If you get one thing right this christmas make sure you’ve goat this on your silly season playlist.
