Thirty Seconds To Mars Postpone Australian Tour Until 2014

Thirty Seconds To Mars have announced today that their Australian tour, originally scheduled for August of this year, will not be taking place until March 2014. A statement from the band explains that a member will undergoing a “medical procedure”, leaving them with no option but to rain check.

This will be particularly hard news to take for their Aussie fans, who made it through an extensive period of teasing from the band as to when they would be returning. Though something to help soften the blow – they’ve already locked in dates, venues and ticketing information for the shows next year, so you still have something to look forward to.

The Brisbane venue has been moved to the Riverstage from the Entertainment Centre. Tickets that have already been purchased will be valid for all new shows in those cities. If you can’t make the amended dates then you will need to return the ticket to your point of purchase by Friday, 3rd August.

You can check out the new dates and the band’s statement below.

“It is with a heavy heart and deep regret that we must reschedule the four shows in Australia. A member of the band will be undergoing a medical procedure and the time will be used to address this. Please know we are absolutely devastated and hope for your understanding and patience. Our sincerest and deepest apologies.

We are rescheduling for March 2014 as these are the earliest the dates are available. Thank you for your faith, for your support, and for standing by us no matter what.

We ask you please respect our privacy through challenging times like these.”
