Tool Tease New Music From Studio Sessions

It’s been almost a decade since legendary rock outfit Tool released new music, but snippets of their long-awaited next album continue to pop up from their current sessions in the recording studio.

Having been on extended hiatus since 2006’s 10,000 Days album, the Californian thrashers are finally back in the studio alongside engineer Joe Barresi, who also worked with them on past albums, and have uploaded some evidence to Instagram, including a vague video hinting at sounds set to feature on their next release.

Literally any new Tool is sure to be good news for fans who have been waiting a long, long time for new music, with the band forced to settle down whilst a series of messy lawsuits and countersuits involving the band’s insurance company got dealt with.

Luckily all that mess has since been cleared up, leaving the way for the new album which is due at the end of the year, but as Tool fans, we know not to get our hopes up of that happening. 2016, anyone?
