Today’s Tour Guide presents four of Australia’s heaviest rising stars, with announcements from whiskey-soaked Wollongong punks Born Lion, Melbourne prog-rockers Toehider, heavy metal carnies Troldhaugen, and a celebratory tour from the ever irreverent Twleve Foot Ninja.

Wollongong’s favourite punk rockers Born Lion are celebrating the release of their ferocious new single, Good Times Jimmy, with a quick run of live dates, stopping off at some of the country’s most fabled dives, including St Kilda’s beloved Espy and The Square in Sydney.
Rising out of the ashes of The Watt Riot in early 2012, Born Lion make cro-magnon rock and roll the way punters like to hear it, with plenty of diagonal grooves and razor sharp licks. What else would you expect from a band that lists Hemingway and Bukowski as influences?
Toehider & Troldhaugen Co-Headline Tour
Quickly finding frustration with a lack of options available when it comes to slotting their unique sound into a lineup, Toehider and Troldhaugen have opted to combine their respective prog-rock and gypsy-bred metal chops into a single bill, announcing a special co-headline tour.
Melbourne’s Toehider and Wollongong’s Troldhaugen will embark on an eight-date tour of some of the finest pubs and clubs our shores have to offer, taking the opportunity to showcase material from both bands’ forthcoming albums, including Toehider’s catchy new single, Woah!.

Melbourne’s own Twelve Foot Ninja broke crowdfunding records raising $52,600 to make a controversial anti-cyber bulling video for their song Ain’t That A Bitch, which continues to spread like wildfire on the internet. To celebrate, the boys have announced a new tour.
French electronic/metal outfit The Algorithm will follow-up their Big Day Out 2014 appearances by joining TFN on their ‘Troll Burger’ tour, which takes place over March and April, hitting up QLD, NSW, ACT, VIC, SA, and WA, before the boys head over to the US.
