We’re traversing hardcore, electronica and hip-hop genres in today’s tour guide with shows from Sydney hardcore outfit Hellions, a national Hayden James tour in support of his new single, Something About You and an unplugged tour for hip-hop group Horrorshow.
Hellions National Album Tour
Sydney hardcore outfit Hellions are only weeks away from the release of their sophomore album, Indian Summer, and to celebrate they’re heading out on the road. The 11-date tour will see them play songs from the new album and also drop some favourites from their debut record, Die Young.
As if a huge tour announcement wasn’t enough, the band have teased the album with new track Creasy. Guitarist, Matthew Gravolin, says the track is about “hedonistic excess and its cognitive consequence; the incongruous duality of the fearful and fearsome within one”.
The tour is set to kick off in Brisbane on 6th March before wrapping up in Melbourne on 22nd March. Tickets go on sale 9am tomorrow.

Horrorshow ‘The Listen Close’ Tour
Last year Horrorshow sold out acoustic shows in Sydney and Brisbane so they’ve decided to take their intimate unplugged tour around the country.
The tour will see the songs stripped back to their core focussing on the flows, the instrumentation and the singing. Of late, Horrorshow, have been playing shows with their hip-hop group side-project, One Day, which also features Spit Syndicate, Joyride, and Jackie Onassis. Their last album as Horrorshow was 2013’s King Amongst Many.
Along for the ride, supporting each show, is Tuka from Thundamentals and beatbox master Tom Thum. The tour will start in Bulli on Thursday, 12th March.

Hayden James ‘Something About You’ National Live Tour
Future Classic artist Hayden James is finally back with a new single, Something About You, and is heading out on tour to showcase the new music he’s been working on.
Something About You is taken from Future Classic’s compilation, Teen Idols, which was released late last year and featured tracks by Touch Sensitive, Chet Faker and HWLS. James only started releasing music in 2013 and has already amassed over 6 million plays on his Soundcloud. If you want to hear velvet vocals alongside finessed electronic soundscapes then a Hayden James show is one not to be missed.
He’ll be joined on tour by Sydney artist Mickey Kojak on all dates except for St. Kilda Festival. James will kick off the tour next month in Melbourne.
