Following on from his appearances as part of next year’s Playground Weekender festival, Bristol trip-hop legend Tricky has just announced a run of headline shows. The shows which will feature Tricky on stage with his full live band, including co-vocalist Francesca Belmont, will also feature heavily from his latest album, Mixed Race, one of his best in years, as well as drawing fro his impressive back catalog.
“This is the closest I can get to a gangsta album,” he said of the album. “It’s very ‘gully’, as Jamaicans call it…very dark. Tense, street and urban. It’s like a movie, almost.”
