Triple J Unveils Location Of 2017 One Night Stand

Written by Emmy Mack on March 21, 2017

Congrats, Mount Isa!

The sleepy Northwest Queensland town is in for one of the biggest nights of its life, after being announced as the official beneficiary of this year’s free triple j One Night Stand festival.

A stellar delegation of some of the station’s fave acts will descend upon the region on Saturday 22nd April for the 11th annual all-ages event (well, skipping its 2015 breather), including The Smith Street Band, San Cisco, Tash Sultana and Thundamentals.

Last year’s epic instalment featured some truly outstanding collabs from its artists, so expect the unexpected from this year’s performers, as well as some ~special guests~.

A triple J Unearthed winner will also be added to the fun in the coming weeks, so keep an eye out for that too.

Mount Isa joins fellow festival-overlooked towns such as Dubbo and Cowra (NSW), Dalby and Ayr (QLD), Tumby Bay and Port Pirie (SA), Alice Springs (NT), Collie (WA), Mildura, Gippsland, and Natimuk (VIC) and last year’s winner Geraldton (WA) to host an ONS party and have its world rocked forever.

As always, triple j will broadcast the One Night Stand live on radio. Check out all the deets for the 2017 edish, below.
