Two Door Cinema Club Share Sci-Fi Inspired Video For Single ‘Satellite’

Indie-pop Brits, Two Door Cinema Club have released the accompanying film clip for their latest single ‘Satellite’.

‘Satellite’ is the weirdly-wonderful second single off of the band’s upcoming album, False Alarm which is set for release Friday, 14th June through Prolifica Inc/[PIAS]. It follows up the first taste we received, ‘Talk’.

It’s a sci-fi inspired clip that references Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica, and Star Trek.

The silly space-themed, film clip sees the three Two Door Cinema Club guys battle the futuristic dread that builds the basis of ‘Satellite’ — and by ‘battle’ we do mean through perfected choreography.

The clip is directed by Eion Glaister (Catfish And The Bottlemen/Beirut) and the band said in a statement, “We had a wonderful script to work with and the luck of working with Eoin Glaister on this video. It was great fun shooting aliens and licking their heads!!”

False Alarm will succeed the band’s 2016 release, Gameshow and they were last in Australia for 2017’s Splendour In The Grass.

The new album was recorded with producer Jacknife Lee (U2, REM, The Killers) and has been deemed ‘off-kilter pop’ in a press release — ooooph, colour us EXCITED.
