American post-hardcore outfit Underoath have revealed that one very lucky local band will be joining them on their upcoming ‘Rebirth’ tour of Australia this February.
Sydney post-rockers sleepmakeswaves have been tapped to support Underoath down under(oath), on all dates of the ‘Rebirth’ tour.
Announcing the news on Facebook today, sleepmakeswaves guitarist Otto Wicks-Green thanked Underoath for allowing them to join their latest jaunt around Australia.
“Speaking personally, [Underoath albums] ‘Define the Great Line’ and ‘They’re Only Chasing Safety’ were massive musical influences on me, and getting to witness these masters smashing this material out every night is truly bucket list stuff,” he said.
Sleepmakeswaves launched a crowdfunding campaign for their third album late last year, and earlier this week the band told fans that they have now surpassed their $42,000 target.
